Remember “The Unknown Stuntman”? The one who made Robert Redford such a star, the one Clint Eastwood so look fine
Well, this month is the 42nd anniversary of the popular action-comedy adventure series The Fall Guy, which aired on ABC from 1981 to 1986. The show starred Lee Majors as Colt Seavers, a Hollywood stuntman who moonlights as a bounty hunter alongside cousin Howie Munson (Douglas Barr) and stuntwoman Jody Banks (Heather Thomas): putting their trade to good use in capturing criminals and bringing them to justice.
Now, the story of one of the great unsung heroes has been updated for the big-screen next spring with Ryan Gosling in the title role.
The premise: Stuntman Colt Seavers is now the leading man when he is hired to finding the missing star (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) of a big-budget studio movie directed by Seavers’ ex Jody Moreno (Emily Blunt).
Can Colt Seavers be the hero: get the credit AND the girl?
Find out when The Fall Guy jumps into theaters March 1.
