AmericaJR’s Jason Rzucidlo recently visited the Tropicana Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. The $15 million Tropicana opened on April 4, 1957, as the most expensive Las Vegas resort developed up to that point. The Tropicana includes a 44,570 sq. ft. casino and 1,467 rooms. Inside, there is a large stained glass ceiling which drew lots of attention from visitors and gamblers alike. Tropicana Las Vegas will close for good on April 2, 2024. Then, the hotel-casino property will be demolished sometime in the summer. The site will be used to construct a new MLB stadium for the Athletics baseball club, which is scheduled to open in time for the 2028 season.

Tropicana Las Vegas is located at the corner of Tropicana and Las Vegas boulevards. For more info, visit: https://casinos.ballys.com/tropicana-las-vegas/.
