AmericaJR’s Jason Rzucidlo was LIVE inside The Sphere (Las Vegas) for the 2024 NHL Draft. It was the first LIVE televised sports event held inside the Sphere. As per their April 2024 agreement, all draft rights held by the deactivated Arizona Coyotes franchise were transferred to the new Utah Hockey Club. The San Jose Sharks had the first overall pick for the first time in franchise history. The first three selections were Macklin Celebrini going to the San Jose Sharks, Artyom Levshunov being selected by the Chicago Blackhawks, and Beckett Sennecke being picked by the Anaheim Ducks.
