Next Valentine’s Day, heroes will be reborn with Captain America: Brave New World.
Anthony Mackie will be suiting up once more as Sam Wilson/Falcon: succeeding the shield that made his friend Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) into a living legend as both the first Avenger and the world’s first super-soldier.
The fourth installment in the Captain America franchise finds Wilson right in the middle of an international incident that he must unravel and stop this plot that could have global ramifications.
The film also stars Harrison Ford succeeding the late William Hurt as newly elected U.S. President “Thunderbolt” Ross, the grizzled military veteran who made it his lifelong mission to hunt down the Incredible Hulk. And speaking of Bruce Banner and the Hulk, Brave New World will have Liv Tyler reprising her role as his daughter Betty Ross, who shared a history and more with Banner/the Hulk.
The film also features Carl Lumbly (M.A.N.T.I.S., Alias, Supergirl, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier) as Isaiah Bradley, Breaking Bad‘s Giancarlo Esposito in an unknown role, and Tim Blake Nelson returning as Samuel Sterns, a role he first played in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk opposite Tyler, Hurt, Tim Roth, and Edward Norton preceding the titular character before Mark Ruffalo.
Will Captain America: Brave New World be the film that changed everything like it did with 2014’s Winter Soldier? Will it serve as the big-screen redemption for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)?
All will be revealed when Captain America: Brave New World comes out February 14, 2025.
