2024 Soaring Eagle Arts, Beats & Eats to return to Royal Oak, Aug. 30 – Sept. 2

Royal Oak, Mich. — The 2024 Soaring Eagle Arts, Beats & Eats (AB&E) festival will return to downtown Royal Oak over Labor Day weekend, Aug. 30 – Sept. 2. Festival organizers announced the line-up of artists, musicians and food vendors earlier today.

AB&E Event Producer Jon Witz says “For this year’s Soaring Eagle Arts, Beats & Eats, on the Jim Beam National stage, I like to welcome back Your Generation, as they kick this show off on Friday, August 30.  Then we have classic rock icon Cheap Trick on Friday night.  Then we have 80’s rock legend to close out the night. It’s Tesla.

“On Saturday, we’re going country.  We have Rob Stone, Ryan J and Runaway June.  Leading into our headliner is outlaws, The Cadillac Three.  Then headlining Saturday night is award-winning artist Dustin Lynch.

“Sunday, September 1 will start with Lyons Lane.  Then we’ll bring back Fleetwood Mac at its finest, the return of Rumours.  Heading to one of my favorite 90’s alternative Gin Blossoms.  Closing out Sunday, will be hard rock band Chevelle.”

“Monday, September 2, we’ll start with Roots Vibrations and Detroit’s own Thornetta Davis.  LFO with sound of O-Town and NSYNC.  Closing out the Jim Beam national stage is the R&B legend voice of Keith Sweat.”

“Tickets are on sale today for $7.00 in advance.  Free tickets will be explained by Kristen Shaoni.”

Tim McCullough, Soaring Eagle Casino Host, says it is a happy return always in this town.  “From all these years, it’s gonna be an even better year for Arts, Beats and Eats, the weather’s been great and I’m very excited.  We’ve got this huge video wall that will light up Fifth Avenue.  It’s Soaring on Fifth.  Also returning will be the Detroit Lions Drumline, the cheerleaders making a special appearance with Roary on Saturday, August 31 at 1 p.m.”

“Freebies on the property are $25 in free play, $25 in dining, and 30 percent discount for an overnight stay.  We have two properties, so make sure you check that out,”  McCullough added.  

“There are some amazing restaurants joining us today and I want to recognize them now.  Princess Mediterranean Grill, Trattoria da Luigi and iFreeze Creamery for joining us today and sharing their taste of what’s to come.”

“Speaking of tastes, special guests will also enjoy food offerings from the Soaring Eagle Cuisine Machine such as shaved prime rib sandwiches, pulled pork and johnny cakes.  Chicken caesar cold pizza, Italian fries and a pineapple upside-down sundae.”

“The Soaring Eagle on Fifth offers top rock bands throughout the whole weekend.  So great to be part of this collaboration,” added McCullough.

Royal Oak Mayor Mike Fournier says “We welcome all our local musicians that make this event the success that it is.  There will be 600 local musicians representing 165 bands.  What a great way to show off our music scene here.  Speaking of local musicians, this year we are gonna have one of our youngest performers from Royal Oak–Alice Woodward.  We can’t wait to see you perform.”

“It’s is not just about music, Arts, Beats & Eats is a good time for families.  We really embrace a number of different venues.  This year we are bringing back the Detroit Youth Kid Zone, arts and crafts and the DIA is gonna have the most comprehensive entertainment lineup.  Also we’re gonna have Native American dances, amazing puppetry, Revolution Chinese yoyo and so much more.  With all the great eats and great art and music, we are proud to be the host of AB&E,” says Fournier.

David Woodward, Chairman of Oakland County Board of Commissioners, says “You are not gonna see better art in Oakland County.  This is the absolute summer send off.”

The 2024 Arts, Beats and Eats festival offers advance tickets for $7 from now through August 29. There will be free admission on Friday, Aug. 30 until 5 p.m. After 5 p.m. on Friday, the price will be $12. For Saturday – Monday, admission will be $10 before 3 p.m. and $12 after 3 p.m.
