Las Vegas — CES Unveiled is the annual preview event for the Consumer Electronics Show that is held inside the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Both start up companies and even big global brands participate in CES Unveiled.
Bella from Bosch research introduced me to their all new Revol multi-modal intelligent crib. It comes with sensors, cameras and AI features to give parents a helping hand when caring for newborn babies.
“Based on the camera with AI, we can detect if a blanket has covered baby’s face or if baby has flipped in the bed at night,” said Dr. Lijuan Xia with Bosch Research. “The microphone can detect whether the baby is crying or not. If a cry is detected, we can play some music to help baby fall asleep. Bosch motor can turn the height of the crib up and down. Later, it will rock baby into sleep automatically. After a baby becomes 2 years old, the crib can be converted into a study desk. Baby can play with their toys on the desk.”
David Schecter from Hydrific told me about their all new Droplet smart home water sensor. It tracks water usage, prevents leaks and can help you save up to 30 percent on your water bill.

“It’s like your water meter but it doesn’t require any plumbing…you just clamp it onto your main pipe,” Schecter explained. “It reads how much water your house is using. One of the things most people like about it is that it detects leaks. So if you have a small leak in your house, it finds that and sends you a text. It breaks down your water usages: toilets, showers, faucets. If you are trying to be more sustainable or lower the cost of your water bill, it gives you a little more insight than your water bill would.”
Thomas Le Bourhis from ELHYTE told me about their battery solutions for construction vehicles. Their all new E-Cube is the first interchangeable and universal battery dedicated to mini excavators reusable over several machine life cycles.
“The idea is to convert your oil engine vehicle into an electric one,” Le Bourhis said. “It’s not exactly on the market yet, it’s a prototype at the moment. It’s going to be released this year actually. The second case would be a native electric vehicle that uses that battery.”
Meanwhile, Scott Bolt from Danlaw introduced me to their all new CleverCharge AI-powered EV charging station. The level 2 smart EV charger offers AI guidance and a complete home EV management system for households with multiple EVs.
“What makes it unique is the CleverKey,” Bolt explained. “The CleverKey is a device that plugs into your vehicle. We’re able to take the data in your vehicle and combine it with the data while we’re charging to do some really inventive things with some AI algorithms that we’ve done. Imagine that CleverCharge has figured out that you drive on average 50 miles on Sunday. When you pull in Saturday night, CleverKey knows you’re in the garage, it knows you are not plugged in and it knows you only have 20 miles left. It’s going to say, you’ve got a problem and give you an alert. It helps you manage the range of your vehicle using smart technology integrating the CleverKey vehicle features.”
Each year, CES honors new products and tech with its Innovation Awards. Two of the award winning products on display were the Hercules DJControl Mix Ultra and the Q-Vision Pro, a safe and fast on-device for crime prevention.
