The AmericaJR Web Team recently visited the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Boulder City, Nev. It interprets the story of railroading and the importance of transportation systems to Nevada’s history and culture for the enrichment of all who visit through the acquisition, preservation, and exhibition of railroad history artifacts. The museum’s main display pavilion is an outdoor area containing two tracks with multiple locomotives and pieces of rolling stock on display. The display pavilion is open daily between 9:00am and 3:30pm and is closed for state holidays. Train rides are offered Saturdays and Sundays year-round. Travel behind one of our historic diesel-electric locomotives in early 20th century rail cars along the original Boulder City Branch Line.
