Fontana, Calif. — The City of Fontana is proud to announce that it will honor world-renowned musician and producer Travis Barker during this year’s Fontana Days Run, taking place Saturday, June 7, 2025.
A native of Fontana, Barker has become one of the most influential and versatile drummers of all time, performing with blink-182, Transplants, and a host of genre-spanning collaborators. His deep commitment to health and wellness has also led him to launch Run Travis Run, a national wellness campaign encouraging fitness, mindfulness, and community engagement.
While the race is sold out, residents are encouraged to attend and support the runners, enjoy the free Fitness Expo, and witness the special presentation to Barker scheduled for 10:25 a.m. at Miller Park Amphitheater.
“Travis Barker is not just a global music icon—he’s one of us,” said Mayor Acquanetta Warren. “His commitment to wellness, his roots in Fontana, and his example as someone who has overcome adversity to inspire others make him a true hometown hero. We are thrilled to welcome him home and recognize his incredible achievements.”
The Fontana Days Run, one of the oldest half marathons in the nation, features a 13.1-mile half marathon, a 5K, and a Children’s Dash, bringing together thousands of runners and community members each year. It also includes a family-friendly Fitness Expo featuring local health and wellness vendors.
The day’s festivities will include a live performance by the Fontana High School Drumline at 10:15 a.m., followed immediately by the presentation to Barker.
