PHOTOS: M-1 Rail (QLine) Construction Nearing Completion in midtown Detroit

AmericaJR’s Jason Rzucidlo was LIVE along Woodward Avenue in midtown Detroit. Construction crews are putting the final touches on the rails in preparation for the new M-1 Rail (Qline) system. Line stations still need to be built from the ground up. M-1 RAIL recently began the first of nearly 1,000 tests to be conducted before the start of passenger operations in 2017, operating a small motorized inspection car called a “speeder” to ensure the track is free of obstructions in advance of the first QLINE vehicle delivery. The first passengers will be allowed to ride the Qline starting in early 2017.
