St. Patrick Day may be a lucky day for the Irish, but this will be the day for both “Game of Thrones”‘ Finn Jones and his character Danny Rand, who will fulfill his destiny as the fourth and final Defender known as Marvel’s “Iron Fist”.
When he was ten years old, young Danny Rand became the lone survivor of a plane crash that caused the death of his parents. Now, after years of being presumed dead, he returns home to New York to reclaim his name and his birthright: Rand Enterprises. But there are forces at work against him, but what they will soon realize that Daniel Rand has become a force himself: a force who knows kung-fu, a superhero force known as the Iron Fist.
To illustrate the words of Clare Temple (Rosario Dawson), Daniel Rand/Iron Fist is “someone with special skills”: someone like Hell’s Kitchen lone masked man known as Daredevil (Charlie Cox); the hard-drinking, short-fused hot mess of private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), and the unbreakable, bulletproof, and fellow hero-for-hire Luke Cage/Power Man (Mike Colter).
Marvel’s “Iron Fist” premieres Friday, March 17 on Netflix.
