AmericaJR’s Jason Rzucidlo reports from the Garden City Kmart store that is holding its final liquidation sale. The original Kmart store, which led to the nationwide chain of stores, is located at the corner of Ford Road and Middlebelt. It opened back on March 1, 1962 and will soon close for good in a few days. In this video, watch for interviews for shoppers as they returned to get one last bargain. You’ll hear from Martha Terry from Inkster, MI; Matt Lannom from Garden City, MI; and another customer from Westland, MI. Hundreds of other Kmart stores are also closing nationwide as the company looks to tighten its belt.
