AmericaJR’s Jason Rzucidlo reports from the new Fresh Thyme Farmers Market on Ford Road in Canton, Mich. This is the second new grocery store to open within the city in the last two weeks. Fresh Thyme features an extensive produce department with organic and local fruits and vegetables, a natural meat department, healthy deli foods to go, bakery goods, 400 bulk food bins, dairy and frozen and health supplement products. The store donated all of its Boar’s Head hot dog proceeds to The University of Michigan’s Matthaei Botanical Gardens. Fresh Thyme created 100 full/part-time positions with the opening of the Canton store.
