WATCH: Chevrolet Camaro announced as race car for 2018 NASCAR season

AmericaJR’s Jason Rzucidlo reports from the GM Renaissance Center in Detroit. In this  video, watch as officials from Chevrolet reveal the all-new Camaro race car, which will be used in the 2018 NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series. The Camaro replaces the Chevrolet SS, which has served as the race car for Team Chevy since 2013. Watch for remarks from Mark Reuss, GM’s Executive Vice President, Global Product Development, Purchasing and Supply Chain, as well as NASCAR drivers Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. The announcement comes just a few days before this weekend’s Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway.
