LIVONIA — With Mayor Dennis Wright in attendance and members of the Myron H. Beals American Legion Post # 32 serving as the honor guard, Angela Hospice dedicated a new Veterans Memorial recently. Just beating the cold weather, the new construction was finished for a post Memorial Day lunchtime event.
Heather Dean performed the musical accompaniment. The Rev. John Kaul, a retired navy chaplain, gave the blessing at the ceremony and Margot Parr of Angela Hospice said some inspirational remarks, reinforcing gratitude for veterans.
A reception followed after the dedication. Angela Hospice is a Felician Order-sponsored hospice on the grounds of Madonna University.
