WARRENDALE, PA. — SAE International announces that J.D. Power will present two new automotive engineering awards during the 2019 WCX World Congress Experience, which will be held April 9-11 at Cobo Center in Detroit.
The two new awards are:
- J.D. Power Engineering Award for Highest-Rated Vehicle All-New – Presented to the engineering team responsible for the highest-rated all-new vehicle for the 2018 Model Year.
- J.D. Power Engineering Award for Highest-Rated Vehicle Redesign – Presented to the engineering team for the highest-rated redesigned vehicle for the 2018 Model Year.
“Through many J.D. Power studies, customers share their satisfaction levels about quality, dependability and performance areas within the auto industry, but this is the first time the achievements of engineering teams are being recognized,” said Doug Betts, senior vice president of global automotive at J.D. Power. “It’s recognition that comes from the people who buy the vehicles, and that’s something that should bring great pride to the recipients.”
The awards will be presented during the SAE International Awards Ceremony, which will be held Tuesday, April 9 at 5:30 p.m. in Room 260, Portside Ballroom, Cobo Center. J.D. Power is Presenting Sponsor for the event. The Awards Ceremony honors professionals, educators and students who have demonstrated excellence and have significant achievements in virtually every aspect of the mobility industry including innovation and technology advancement.
