The AmericaJR Web Team recently visited the World’s First Franchise KFC Restaurant in Salt Lake City, Utah. Franchisee Pete Harman opened the restaurant in 1952 and is still fully operational. There is a big “traditional” bucket to mark the restaurant, as well as a marquee that reads, “Harman Cafe.” The original restaurant was demolished in 2004, and a new, more modern one was built in its place. The restaurant has a bunch of memorabilia displayed, including an original Colonel Sanders suit.
