He is the current Mayor of South Bend, Indiana. Buttigieg supports abortion rights, wants to fight climate change, eliminate the death penalty and wants to offer “Medicare for All Who Want It.” He also supports Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and favors amending civil rights legislation with the Federal Equality Act so that LGBT Americans receive federal non-discrimination protections. Nevada’s Democratic caucus will be held on February 22, 2020.
