AmericaJR’s Gloria and Jerome Rzucidlo visited Greenfield Village on Memorial Day weekend. The annual Civil War Remembrance event was canceled once again due to COVID-19 concerns. Attendees were able to walk around and explore the historic buildings, restaurants and gift shops at their leisure. The museum’s intent is to show how Americans have lived and worked since the founding of the country. The Village includes buildings from the 17th century to the present, many of which are staffed by costumed interpreters who conduct period tasks like farming, sewing and cooking.
