Las Vegas — The all-new MSG Sphere entertainment venue is under construction near the Las Vegas Strip. It will truly be out of this world when it is completed.

Rock band U2 will be the first to perform inside the new entertainment venue when it opens in mid-2023.

We’ve been following the construction of the MSG sphere since it began in September 2018. The $1.8-billion facility is located just east of The Venetian Resort.

The MSG Sphere will feature 17,500 theatre-style seats and 23 executive suites on the inside. In addition, it will feature the world’s largest LED screen.

When complete, it will be 366 feet high and 516 feet wide. The MSG Sphere will feature a 1,000-foot pedestrian bridge that will connect it to The Venetian Expo.

There are plans to add a Las Vegas Monorail station to serve both the Sphere and The Venetian Resort. We’re told it may not happen until after the venue opens due to financial reasons.

Look for the MSG Sphere to host concerts, award shows and the possibility of boxing and mixed martial arts as well as esports tournaments.
