Mix of Corporate and Local Dealer Displays to Provide Wide Range of Vehicles

Detroit — The Detroit Auto Show today announced an exciting lineup of 35 brands, which represents an impressive mix of vehicles from auto manufacturers and their regions, as well as metro Detroit dealerships. Visitors to the 2023 Detroit Auto Show will have the opportunity to see the powerhouse lineup of brands in one place at the Sept. 13 – 24 event at Huntington Place in Detroit.

Vehicle Brands, Everything from “A to V”

Show-goers can expect to see Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Ford, GMC, Jeep, Kia, Lexus, Lincoln, Ram, Toyota, and Volkswagen as part of corporate/region-supported vehicle displays.  Adding to the complement of brands for show audiences to explore and enjoy will be dealer-supported vehicle displays representing Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Maserati, McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Polestar, Porsche, Rolls-Royce and Volvo.  Additionally, show officials report there will be a “few surprises” added to the list.

“We’re thrilled to be able to bring auto show audiences a broad spectrum of brands and vehicles,” said Detroit Auto Show Executive Director Rod Alberts.  “As a dealer association-backed auto show, one of our main goals is to display all the brands that are sold in our region.  This blend of bringing together corporate- and dealer-supported vehicles is trending at auto shows nationwide, and it’s really become the catalyst for the future success of shows across the country.  Dealers are still the closest conduit to the consumer.”

According to Alberts, each mainstream brand displayed at the Detroit Auto Show will feature multiple models and identifiable branding, making it easy for auto show visitors to navigate the show floor and “shop” the various makes and models.  Another equally important role for this year’s show, said Alberts, is educating the consumer on new mobility and bringing in as much product as possible to illustrate the ever-evolving marketplace and industry transformation underway.

Exotic and Luxury Showcase

A new addition to this year’s show will feature a collection of some of the most prestigious automotive marques in the world as part of the show’s exclusive Exotic and Luxury Showcase.  A magnet for supercar enthusiasts, the area will be open throughout the duration of the show.  It will also present show visitors with a look at what might be considered another “exotic” in the world of personal mobility, a futuristic flying car from California-based Alef Aeronautics.

“We will showcase some of the latest and most intriguing products available – from current and future vehicles to electric products to 800 horsepower exotics,” Alberts said.  “It’s a powerhouse display of vehicles appealing to every type of car enthusiast and show visitor.”

BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ford, GMC, Tesla and Volkswagen will be showing off their EVs on the new Powering Michigan EV Experience indoor track ride-along activation, sponsored by the Powering Michigan team of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 58 and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA).  Outside of Huntington Place, Ford and Tesla will offer street course ride-and-drives.  There, show visitors will get a chance to get behind the wheel and take products for a spin along the Detroit riverfront over portions of the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix downtown race circuit.
