LONG BEACH, Calif. — The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach is “Here for the Party!” Country music icons Gretchen Wilson, Eddie Montgomery and David Lee Murphy will perform Saturday night, April 20 as they bring their “All-Star Jam” to town backed by the band SIXWIRE.

The show will take place at approximately 6:30 p.m. on the plaza in front of the Terrace Theater adjacent to the Long Beach Convention Center and is free to Saturday race ticket holders. Space at the plaza is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Grammy Award-winning artist Gretchen Wilson, known for chart-toppers like “Redneck Woman” and “Here for the Party,” will be sharing the spotlight with Eddie Montgomery, one half of the legendary duo Montgomery Gentry, famed for hits such as “My Town” and “Something to Be Proud Of.” Joining them is the celebrated singer-songwriter David Lee Murphy, known for classics like “Dust on the Bottle” and “Party Crowd.”

“Anytime country music and racing get together, it’s gonna be a good time indeed,” said Wilson. “Let’s all drive fast and turn left AND right y’all!”

“We are bringing the party to Long Beach for the Acura Grand Prix,” added Montgomery. “I’m excited to get to jam with my friends Gretchen Wilson and David Lee Murphy and look forward to seeing all my SoCal buddies!”

“I’m very much looking forward to performing for the folks in Long Beach,” said Murphy. “I will be singing some of my hits like ‘Dust on the Bottle’ and ‘Party Crowd’ and possibly some songs I have written for great artists like Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean and others.  I hope everyone will come out and join in the Party Crowd. It’s gonna be a great night of music!”

Adding to the lineup is the electrifying band SIXWIRE, recognized for their exceptional musicianship and dynamic live performances. Not only has the Nashville-based band played on countless hit records, but they’ve also written hits for many top artists and toured with hundreds of stars. Comprised of guitarist Steve Mandile, bassist John Howard, drummer Chuck Tilley, keyboardist Steve Hornbeak and guitarist/vocalist Andy Childs, SIXWIRE derived their name from a band-invented slang term for a guitar, fitting for a group fronted by two guitarists.

They are the “go-to” guys for television. Collectively, SIXWIRE members have been seen on television programs that include American Idol, ABC’s Nashville, FOX’s The Next Great American Band, USA Network’s Nashville Star, CMT’s Can You Duet, CMT’s Next Superstar, The ACM Awards, The CMA Awards, and many more.

As the backing band behind the All-Star Jam, SIXWIRE works with each of the special featured guest artists to produce a Greatest Hits show, with high energy songs that the entire audience knows and loves.

“The members of SIXWIRE are super excited to be coming to the Grand Prix at Long Beach, and we are especially thrilled to be the house band that will be performing and backing up David Lee Murphy, Gretchen Wilson, and Eddie Montgomery!” said Childs. “Country music with a rock edge is such a great fit for this incredible racing event, and we know the fans are going to love it! Pull on your boots and dust off your cowboy hats, but don’t think for a second that this show isn’t going to absolutely rock!”
