AmericaJR’s Jason Rzucidlo recently visited the site of the former Tropicana Hotel & Casino. The iconic property on the Las Vegas Strip is being demolished. The entire casino and hotel towers will be imploded in fall 2024 on Oct. 9th at 2:30 AM. Then, a baseball stadium (tentatively the New Las Vegas Stadium) will be built on nine acres of the site along with a new resort bearing the Bally’s name on the remaining land. The new stadium should be open in time for the start of the 2028 MLB season. The Tropicana closed for the last time on April 2, 2024.
