Interview with BMW i's Jose Guerrero about the 2015 BMW i3 electric
sedan
AmericaJR.com's
Jason Rzucidlo spoke one-on-one with Jose Guerrero, Product Manager
of BMW i U.S.A. The 2015 BMW i3 is known as the world's first mass-produced
premium electric vehicle. It features a 22-kWh lithium ion battery
that produces a driving range of 80 to 100 miles. The BMW i3 can
be recharged in just three hours with a 240-volt power cord or up
to 80 percent capacity in just 30 minutes with a DC fast charge
cord. A 34-hp, two-cylinder gasoline range extender is available
for an extra charge. That will double the i3's range to between
150 and 190 miles. Three driving modes are available: Comfort, ECO
PRO, and ECO PRO+.
