for the 20th Annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. Watch as
actor-turned-author Jon Cryer reads the preface from this book "So
That Happened: A Memoir." He also took questions from the audience--mostly
about playing Alan on the hit CBS sitcom "Two and a Half Men"
and working with co-star Charlie Sheen. Cryer said he placed a bet
with a book publisher that they wouldn't be able to get him a book
deal. Cryer lost the bet so he had to write the book. The actor
also announced plans for going on tour as a comedian.

for the 20th Annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. Watch as
actress-turned-author Candice Bergen gets interviewed by Times television
critic Mary McNamara. She recently made a cameo as a con woman on
the CBS comedy-drama "Battle Creek." Bergen talked about
her time on the hit CBS sitcom "Murphy Brown" as well
as her daughter and her two marriages. The actress said it took
her four years to write this memoir, which was supposed to be completed
in just one year. "A Fine Romance" picks up where her
first memoir "Knock Wood" left off.

Bell's Bake Shop"

actress-turned-author Pauley Perrette talks about her cookbook "Donna
Bell's Bake Shop" she co-authored with Darren Greenblatt and
Matthew Sandusky. It is the story of how the NCIS star
along with her two best friends created a Southern-style bake shop
in Manhattan. The cookbook was named in honor of Pauley's late mother,
who is the inspiration for everything they bake. Perrette plays
the role of Abby Sciuto on the hit CBS police drama series.

This Up"

for the 20th Annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. Watch as
sportscaster Al Michaels talks about his book "You Can't Make
This Up." He talked heavily about NFL's return to Los Angeles
after stadium proposals in Inglewood and Carson. "Don't go
to the bank on this because this thing has been going on for 20
years now," Michaels said. "I would not be surprised if
you saw a team playing across the street or at the Rose Bowl next
year. The stadium is going to get built."
