The base model Flex is powered by a 285-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6.

That’s up 23 horsepower over the Flex’s current base V-6, a result of adding variable camshaft timing and other tweaks.

The 2013 Ford Escape is being driven on stage...

It is equipped with either a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine or 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine.

New Escape’s projected fuel economy is up to 5 mpg better than the outgoing Escape.

Versatile vehicle features new hands-free technology – including liftgate with motion- sensing technology similar to video games.
