PHOTOS: 2012 USC Intellectual Property Institute at The Beverly Hills Hotel

The Hon. Randall R. Rader was the keynote speaker a the 2012 USC Gould School of Law Intellectual Property Institute.

He is the chief judge at the United States Federal Circuit Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C.

"I'm dealing with commercial law," Rader said. "My culture is different. Our law gets into deep technical subjects."

He added: "You're all worried about jobs. The law schools are worried about placing students. The employment market is international."

An audience member asked Rader a question.

He added: "The last place in the world I expected to have a federal circuit was Moscow."
