CASTAIC
LAKE , Calif. -- Thousands of bikers will ride for the
31st Annual Love Ride, to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association
on Oct. 25, 2014, with a full day of music, with The Doors’
Robby Krieger, Buckcherry, and more.
The Budweiser
Presents 31st Annual Love Ride, Powered by GEICO Motorcycle, will
feature Jay Leno as Grand Marshall and Hollywood celebrities,
including Robert Patrick, Lorenzo Lamas, Willie G. Davidson and
Peter Fonda. The Doors’ Robby Krieger returns to the Love
Ride with his Jam Kitchen, and will rock the day-long concert.
Buckcherry will play a set spanning their career, including songs
from their brand new EP, “F#CK.” Attendees will also
enjoy delicious food trucks, drawings for exclusive motorcycle
items, a custom bike and stunt show and more.
Net proceeds
from this year’s event will support children served by MDA
living in Southern California and help them attend a weeklong,
barrier-free summer camp in the area. MDA summer camp offers a
wide range of activities specially designed for youngsters who
have limited mobility or use wheelchairs. Each year, campers have
an unmatched opportunity to develop lifelong friendships, share
interests and build self-confidence.
Registration for Love Ride 31 is open at LoveRide.org.
Buckcherry’s
Love Ride Debut
Buckcherry
is currently on the road with Godsmack and Seether as part of
the 2014 Rockstar UPROAR Festival, following the worldwide launch
of their new EP, “F#CK.” UPROAR is the next step in
a history of incendiary tours and festival appearances everywhere
from Bamboozle with Bon Jovi to headlining Ink-N-Iron with Misfits
and Pennywise and Sturgis. Buckcherry is just at home alongside
Slipknot and Rob Zombie as they are AC/DC and Mötley Crüe.
“I
hope everybody enjoys the fact that we're always pushing for something
new while staying true to our rock 'n' roll roots,” said
Keith Nelson. “We can’t wait to play the Love Ride
for the first time, and help raise money for such a great cause.”
Added
Josh Todd, “The big payoff is when someone finds inspiration
in our music. Everything we do is right from the heart and with
the Love Ride, people can immediately turn that inspiration into
action, helping local kids.”
Robby Krieger Returns to Love Ride
The all-day
concert kicks off the fourth decade of fundraising for charitable
causes, and Robby Krieger has lent his incredible talent to twelve
Love Ride events. This year, Robby brings his Jam Kitchen to play
a rocking selection of hits.
Said Robby,
“I was lucky enough to play the very first Love Ride back
in the eighties. After that Oliver asked me back many time, and
got to play with Eric Burdon, Kieth Emerson and others. That first
Love Ride was really the first event of its kind, and broke new
ground in the fundraising arena.”
This year,
Robby is joined by his group, Jam Kitchen, which features three
guys from Frank Zappas’ band: Arthur Barrow, Tommy Mars
and Chad Wackerman. Added Robby, “We do our own music, as
well as some Doors and Zappa tunes.”

so I can testify that every year for the past 30 years this event
has gotten better and better. With a big party and legendary music
performances, the Love Ride is the epitome of the genuine Harley-Davidson
lifestyle. Come join us for one hell of a good time at the most
badass SoCal event of the year - Love Ride 31!” said Mark
Ruffalo, president of the Southern California Harley-Davidson
