BURBANK,
Calif. -- Technology is re-inventing itself every day,
and it's always fascinating to see what the experts come up with
next. Having a career in the entertainment industry, it's key
to keep with the latest gadgets, from cameras, lighting, post-production
editing softwares, to microphones.
So anyone
from producers, directors, gaffers, editors, attend these conventions
to gain further knowledge what's to come in the further, to advance
their career. There were many vendors that participated in this
successful expo, Canon, Nikon, only, JVC Professional, HP, Scenios.
A
special highlight of the evening, Peter Deming, award winning
cinematographer, was gracious enough to sit down and talk about
his career and experience on his latest film Disney's "Oz:
the Great and Powerful." Peter Deming career took off after
he worked on a cult-classic film "Evil Dead II" with
director Sam Raimi.
He
has worked on a lot of well known films, "I Heart Hucabees,"
"Mulholland Drive," "Scream 4," also with
some brilliant directors, Wes Craven, and Sam Raimi, David Lynch.
"Oz"
is anticipated to be a blockbuster movie, and he couldn't have
been more thrilled to be a part of it. The
whole movie was shot on three stages, in Michigan, which needed
a good amount of lighting equipment, which they received from
Texas, New York, and various other states.
This was
his first time shooting in 3D, and his perspective on 3D movies
is that they fit for certain movies.
