PHOTOS: 2013 Rose Parade BandFest at Pasadena City College's Robinson Stadium

Roses on the backs of their uniforms

The Tournament of Roses Honor Band has marched in every Rose Parade since 1930.

Over six-hundred high school students audition each year for the 200 plus spots in the band and pageantry.

The band is comprised of Lancer Marching Band members and exceptional high school musicians auditioned from throughout Southern California.

As part of the honor band program, the 10 member elite Herald Trumpet Unit has the distinct honor of heralding in the New Year by proceeding the Rose Queen and her Court.

The Honor Band rehearses every Sunday in November and December and almost everyday during the winter break to prepare for the six mile trek down Colorado Blvd.
