is a country music and southern rock band from Fort Payne, Alabama,
United States.

The
band was founded in 1969 by Randy Owen (lead vocals, Rhythm Guitar)
and his cousin Teddy Gentry (bass guitar, background vocals), soon
joined by Jeff Cook (Lead Guitar, fiddle, keyboards).

has been on its reunion tour since 2010.

The lead-off single to their first album for RCA "I Wanna
Come Over" reached #33 on the US Country Charts in 1979.

Dick
Clark booked Alabama on American Bandstand during the show's
country week, on October 4, 1980.
