"I actually ended up with tendonitis," Constance Marie said after doing the sign language for so long.

Sean Berdy plays Emmett on Switched at Birth.

"The deaf community has been searching for a show like this," he explained.

Vanessa Marano plays the role of Bay Kennish on the show.

"We're creating a product here that is about expression," she said.
