Switchfoot performs at Market Night

Stewart Park • Beaumont, CA • July 25, 2012

Hundreds, if not thousands, of people showed up for the free concert.

"We all love to surf and have been surfing all our lives so to us, the name made sense," lead singer Jon Foreman said. "To switch your feet means to take a new stance facing the opposite direction. It's about change and movement, a different way of approaching life and music."

He described the show as a backyard BBQ since the group is from San Diego.

Switchfoot performed all of their hit songs including some new ones as well.

The group performed their first single "Meant to Live."
