PHOTOS: A Tour of the U.S.S. IOWA floating museum at Berth 87 in San Pedro, CA

A historical photo of the U.S.S. IOWA during wartime.

The battleship was struck twice by a Japanese 4.7-inch shore battery.

This is the location of where the battleship was attacked.

A computer database of former crew members is being developed.

The IOWA featured 16-inch, 50-caliber mark 7 main gun batteries, 16-inch gun armored turrets and 16-inch, 50-caliber projectiles.
