Addict Nation talks about her own addictive personality regarding her over consumption of food, alcohol, her job and spending habits. Addicted people have secrets and are liars, she says.

There are addictions to the internet, being famous stars, sexual addictions, crime, procreation, food, cleanliness and war. She goes on in great detail to what these have done to society.
In this book, Velez-Mitchell says that denial plays a part in our society, and it's the bad behavior that is compulsive and self-destructive. The book is very good and I would recommend it. Perhaps it will change your life.
