Addict Nation talks about her own addictive personality regarding her over consumption of food, alcohol, her job and spending habits. Addicted people have secrets and are liars, she says. She talks about many cultural addictions such as overconsumption of things. America is using materialism to escape. Escape is the root of all addictions. The motive is always the same; to stuff down and escape painful feelings and unpleasant truths.
