Built
in 1983, this building contains thirty research and classroom labs,
a rooftop observatory with telescopes for stargazing, a planetarium
and a connecting path to Overman Hall. The planetarium is a 120-seat
theater for viewing shows of more than 6,000 stars simulated by
the Minolta planetarium projector. Students and area residents can
attend planetarium shows.

The
Student Recreation Center (SRC) opened in January of 1979. The 185,000
square foot complex features exercise facilities on four levels,
including two swimming pools, a whirlpool/spa, 14 handball/racquetball
courts, three squash courts, four weight rooms, a cardio room, an
elevated running track, an Activity Center for aerobics and a large
Sports Center which accommodates basketball, tennis, volleyball,
and badminton.

The
Ice Arena was built in 1967, and contains a 5,000-seat hockey rink,
a curling rink, a figure skating studio, a skate shop and Center
Ice Club. The BGSU hockey team has won seven CCHA championships
and has made nine appearances at the NCAA tournament, winning the
national title in 1984.

The
Fine Arts Center was built in 1951, then renovated and re-opened
for classes in the fall of 1993. It accommodates the School of Art,
the Dorothy Uber Bryan and Hirosho Nakamoto art galleries, numerous
studios specialized for drawing, jewelry making, computer graphics,
glass making and more.

Bowling
Green State University (BGSU) is a public four-year institution
located in Bowling Green, Ohio, USA, about 20 miles south
of Toledo, Ohio on I-75. The institution was granted a charter
in 1910 by the State of Ohio as part of the Lowry bill, which
also established Kent State University. For the 2007–2008
academic year BGSU has a student body of over 20,000, of which
3,000 are graduate students. BGSU offers over 200 undergraduate
programs, as well as various master's and doctoral degrees,
including the nation's first Ph.D. program in photochemical
science, one of the first undergraduate programs in neuroscience,
the first masters degree in Organizational Development and
the first executive MBA program in the State of Ohio. In addition,
BGSU has accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission
(HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools
to offer full degree programs online.
