In
January 2008, the School of Denistry relocated to the Corktown Campus.
The new facility is comprised of two, four-story buildings, containing
190 clinical operatories, state-of-the-art classrooms, and a simulation
laboratory with a seating capacity of 100.

The dental hygiene program was initiated in 1950, the postdoctoral
endodontic program in 1959, and the postdoctoral orthodontic program
in 1963. In 2004, advanced education programs in general dentistry
and periodontics were initiated.

Founded
in 1912, UDM is a well-established Catholic law school sponsored
by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) and the Sisters of Mercy of the
Americas. The school is approved by the American Bar Association
and is a member of the Association of American Law Schools.

of Detroit Mercy
University
of Detroit Mercy (UDM) is a comprehensive university in Detroit,
Michigan, United States, created in 1990. With origins dating
from 1876, it is the largest Roman Catholic university in
Michigan. UDM is one of the twenty-eight member Association
of Jesuit Colleges and Universities in the United States.
Located across three campuses in Detroit, the school offers
more than a hundred academic degrees and programs of study,
including liberal arts, clinical psychology, business, dentistry,
law, engineering, architecture, nursing and allied health
professions.
UDM was ranked in the top tier of Midwestern
master's universities in U.S.News & World Report "America's
Best Colleges" 2009 edition. Athletically, the University
sponsors 19 NCAA Division I level varsity sports for men and
women, and is a member of the Horizon League. UDM was the
host institution for the 2009 NCAA men's basketball Final
Four and championship.
