University
of Michigan-Dearborn
The
University of Michigan–Dearborn, located in Dearborn,
Michigan, USA, is a coeducational, masters-level, public university
which is part of the University of Michigan system. It is
a renowned public research university located in the state
of Michigan. The university was founded in 1817 in Detroit,
about 20 years before the territory of Michigan officially
became a state, and moved to Ann Arbor in 1837. It is the
state's oldest university. There are two other campuses—the
University of Michigan–Ann Arbor being the flagship
campus and the University of Michigan–Flint regional
campus. Comprising four distinct colleges, UM–Dearborn
offers a full spectrum of comprehensive degree programs which
consistently rank highly in their respective categories.
