Bennigan's Restaurant Closes Its Doors

This Bennigan's Restaurant was open for 28 years near the eastern edge of Briarwood Mall.

The restaurant lost its lease after the national franchise filed for bankruptcy.

Sales at this location were strong. However, the rental rate increased and the restaurant couldn't afford it anymore.

The Bennigan's location closed in mid-January.

A new building permit indicates that Red Robin will open inside the restaurant.

The sign at the corner of Briarwood and S. State St. has already been changed to Red Robin.
