Carl's Chop House Restaurant

Legendary Detroit Restaurant Has Closed

Carl's Chop House has been an icon since 1920. It's been the restaurant that parents would always take their kids and celebrities would dine at when they came to the Motor City.

A van sits parked under the awning at Carl's Chop House and the doors remained locked.

The legendary Detroit restaurant remains lifeless.

A sign on the door indicates the restaurant is "closed for remodeling". However, the restaurant has been closed since October 2008 with no apparent activity inside.

Carl's Chop House is located right across the street from the Motor City Casino. It is a prime location at the intersection of Grand River and the Lodge freeway.
