The
Maccabees Building is a historic building located in Midtown Detroit,
at 5057 Woodward Avenue. The
14 floor central section is rectangular and stands at 197 feet (60
m) in height. Attached to each corner of the building is a 10 story
tower, giving the overall building the shape of an "H".

The
central section is topped by a radio broadcast tower. This was originally
the broadcast tower for WXYZ radio (both WXYZ-AM and WXYZ-FM (now
WRIF), and television, until the station moved to new facilities
in 1959. Some sources put the height from the base to tip of antenna
at 450 feet (137 m).

Marwil
Bookstore features new and used textbooks for students. It also
features books from the New York Times Best Sellers list.
It is located at the corner of Warren and Cass Avenues.

Barnes
& Noble is the official bookstore of Wayne State University.
It also features music, movies and university apparel.

Wayne
State University is located in Detroit, Michigan, in the city's
Midtown Cultural Center. Wayne State is a research intensive
university with 11 schools and colleges offering more than
350 major subject areas to 33,000 graduate and undergraduate
students. The WSU main campus encompasses 203 acres (822,000
m²) linking 100 education and research buildings in the
heart of Detroit. It has six extension centers in the Metro
Detroit area providing access to a limited selection of courses.
The institution is a notable engine in metro Detroit's educational,
cultural, economic, and educational landscape, as manifested
through efforts such as its 75-acre research and technology
park and its hosting of the Detroit Festival of the Arts.
