Their songs discuss the duo's purported musical and sexual prowess, as well as their friendship and cannabis usage in a style that music critics have compared with the storyteller-style lyrics of rock opera.

On Nov. 23, Tenacious D released an EP album titled, Jazz.

On the Rize Of The Fenix Commentary on Spotify, Jack Black stated "...we'll be coming out with another album probably in 2017..."
