BANNING,
Calif. -- On March 21, The Science Experience held its
Second Annual Inland Empire Underwater Remote Operated Vehicle
(ROV) competition at Crafton Hills College.
Thirty-eight
teams in two classes – high school (grades 9 -12) and middle
school (grades 6 -8) competed for the opportunity to advance to
the National Competition in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, which will
be held the weekend of May 30, 2015, where they will compete against
over 100 teams from across the United States.
This second
annual competition was double the size of last year’s. Videos

Our ROV
program is supported in part by the U.S. Navy, the San Bernardino
Community College District, the University of California at Riverside/MESA
program and a cadre of volunteers.
The program
is a part of The Science Experience’s commitment to provide
exciting and interactive experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering
and Mathematics (STEM) to both children and the general public.
The Science
Experience is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to improving learning
opportunities in the Inland Empire.
