Jaguar
reveals the 2014 F-Type sports car at 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show

Two
models are seen uncovering the F-Type during Jaguar's press conference
at the L.A. Auto Show.

LOS
ANGELES -- The new Jaguar F-Type represents a return to
the company's heartland: a two seater, convertible sports car focused
on performance, agility and driver involvement. "With the F-Type
the Jaguar engineering team focus on delivering greater dynamic
driving reward than ever before," said Ian Hoban, Jaguar's
Vehicle Line Director.
The
2014 F-Type sports car is priced at $69,000. It can reach speeds
of zero to 60 mph in just 5.1 seconds with a top speed of 161 mph.
Other
features include 18" Vela Wheels, 8-speed "Quick Shift"
transmission with Sport mode, sport suspension, Jaguar's performance
braking system, intelligent stop/start, a 340 hp, 3.0-liter V6 supercharged
engine, high-definition, full color 8-inch touch screen, GPS navigation
with traffic message channel and Bluetooth connectivity for phone
and audio.
In
terms of safety and security, the F-Type comes with a light, strong
aluminum body structure, Blind sport monitoring, Dynamic stability
control, cornering brake control, reverse traffic detection, automatic
speed limiter and a low tire pressure sensor.
Overall,
the 2014 Jaguar F Type is a safe and well-built vehicle.

The
2014 Jaguar F-Type was unveiled alongside the 2014 Jaguar XFR-S
at the L.A. Auto Show.

Three
models will be available - F-TYPE, F-TYPE S and the F-TYPE V8 S.
They are powered respectively by Jaguar's new 3.0-litre V6 supercharged
petrol engine in 340PS and 380PS outputs and its 5.0-litre V8 supercharged
petrol producing 495PS
